One favorite Christmas spots is Big Bend National Park.

The amazing South Rim, looking down 4000 feet into Mexico

Here is Julia taking a rest on the way up to the South Rim. It was a climb of several thousand feet over about 10 miles. Luckily we didn't do it all in one day.

And here's our tent on the South Rim. We could actually see the sunset from our campsite up there.
