At Dúrika, on the other side of the Continental Divide, we found the Fiery-billed Aracari.

The Fiery-billed is a close cousin of the Collared, separated by the mountain range that forms the backbone of Costa Rica. They likely evolved from a single species during a period of population isolation, possibly due to glaciers.
