On several occasions we found baboon troups of 30-60 individuals on the roads.

In Skukuza camp, we found a troup of Vervet Monkeys right next to our rondavel. There were some very tiny babies in this group.

After I took this photo of this nursing infant, a fight broke out, possibly caused by another troup. The aggression quickly focused on me, however, as I was a bit too close to the infants. I had to carefully back up as several dozen monkeys closed in on me, with menacing teeth bared. I eventually backed up to the car and escaped inside, with a bit of a lesson.

In Lower Sabie camp, we observed a troup of baboons who had figured out how to hop over the electrified barbed wire camp fence.

A few of the males crossed the fence, and raided every porch fridge, taking apples, bread, or whatever they could find.
